Turn the Mac's notch area into a Dynamic Island with live activities, HUDs and on-device dictation.

Notchless is a native macOS menu-bar app (macOS 14 or later) written in SwiftUI and AppKit. It draws a Dynamic Island over the notch area with live activities such as now-playing, system stats, timers, a file tray, tasks and goals, and adds hold-to-talk dictation that runs on-device.
A panel over the notch
The island lives in a borderless, non-activating NSPanel, so it can sit over the notch area without taking focus from the app you are using. It tracks the active display as you move between monitors and has fullscreen modes. The app runs from the menu bar on macOS 14 or later.
Live activities
Activities include now-playing with a system-audio FFT visualizer, live system stats, battery, timers, clipboard history, calendar, a drag-in file tray, and tasks and goals with their own popouts. When several are active, they share the island.
Dictation that stays on the Mac
Hold-to-talk dictation transcribes on-device with Apple Speech or Parakeet. Cleanup of the transcript is optional, and can run locally or through a cloud service if you choose one.
