Spelling and grammar checking from the menu bar for text you write in other apps, with an optional on-device rewrite.

GrammaticallyCorrect is a native macOS menu-bar app (macOS 14 or later) that checks what you type in other apps. NSSpellChecker and custom NLTagger rules do the spelling and grammar checking. An optional Improve rewrite uses Llama 3.2 3B (4-bit) on Apple's MLX framework.
Checking as you type
Text is captured from the focused field through the accessibility APIs, then passes through a debounced pipeline so checking waits for a pause instead of running on every keystroke. Spelling comes from NSSpellChecker, and grammar from custom rules built on NLTagger.
An optional rewrite
The Improve rewrite is separate from the checker and optional. It runs Llama 3.2 3B (4-bit) on MLX. The model is downloaded on first use, at about 2 GB, so the first rewrite needs that download and some disk space.
Using it, and its limits
Ctrl+Option+G triggers the app. Checking works only where macOS exposes the focused text through accessibility, and only after the Accessibility permission is granted. The released v0.1.0 DMG is unsigned.
